Here are the answers to some questions that are frequently asked prior to a shoot. Please feel free to contact me if you have a question that is not answered here.
Q: Where will our session be held?
A: Your photography session may take place at a variety of locations; at your home or office, a local park, urban setting or in my studio (the studio is temporarily unavailable due to Covid). We'll have a conversation about what look you are going for and I will make location suggestions based on our discussion.
Q: What can I expect during my photo session?
A: Head shots - Once on location I will photograph you in a variety of poses and settings. Depending on the location, you may be able to change clothes. I recommend at least one wardrobe change when possible. Sessions can take form 20 minutes to 2+ hours depending on your needs.
A: Family and group shots - Once on location I will photograph you/your group in a variety poses and settings. I like to capture natural interactions and intimate moments, and also some posed shots. Depending on the location, you may be able to change clothes. The average session takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. More time may be needed for large groups. Special needs can be accommodated with notice.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Head shots - Clothing choice is very important to the success of the session. If you need help with style I suggest a google search, then share your favorites with me. If you need help I'm happy to advise you. It might be helpful to think about what you are trying to portray and who your audience is. Being authentic is worth its weight in gold!
Bring at least one change of clothes (where applicable). Your clothing should be pressed and neat, the camera will captures wrinkles.
A: Family and group shots - Clothing choice is very important to the success of the session. I recommend a google search to get ideas. Textured clothing like a sweater or other woven fabric is a good choice. You may want to bring a change of clothes for the young children in case there are any accidents. When selecting what to wear as a group, avoid dressing all the same, unless that's what you really like. Instead try staying in the same color palette i.e. everyone wear pastels or all primary colors. Also, your style should be similar to one another, for example, all fancy or all casual. I am happy to help if you are still not clear on what to wear.
Q: What happens if we have chosen an outdoor location and there is bad weather on my scheduled day?
A: Cloudy days can be perfect for photographing. However, if the weather is too problematic the shoot will be rescheduled to the next mutually agreeable day.
Q: When and how will I be able to view my photographs?
A: Approximately one week after your shoot you will receive a link to your gallery, you will be able to view and choose your photos from there.
Q: How long does it take to get my photos once I order them?
A: The final delivery time of your prints depends on what you order.
